VILLAGE OF MAPLE BLUFF — A holiday tour of the Governor’s Executive Residence is looking to spread Christmas cheer and help feed the hungry in southwestern Wisconsin.
Gov. Scott Walker’s office announced Friday the 2012 holiday tour schedule of the Maple Bluff mansion.
Story: Holiday cheer at Governor's MansionThe six public tours will give guests a view of the main rooms on the first floor, as well as six uniquely decorated Christmas trees.
Gov. Walker and first lady Tonette Walker have partnered with Second Harvest Foodbank, and encourage all tour participants to bring along non-perishable food items.
Second Harvest works on behalf of food pantries, shelters, meal sites and other hunger-relief programs in 16 southwestern Wisconsin counties.
There is no charge for admission. Groups of 20 or more are required to make a reservation by calling (608) 246-5501.
