Biden serves up boxes of pizza in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is impressed with how big pizzas are in Roanoke.

Biden made a campaign stop Monday with Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Warner and Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Tim Kaine at Benny Marconi's.

After entering the restaurant, Biden saw the restaurant's offerings and said, "Whoa! That is a big pizza. That's the largest pizza box I've ever seen."

After mingling with customers, Biden carried a box over his head and delivered it to a press corps van.

Biden, Warner and Kaine then drove to a local campaign office with more boxes. There, Biden told about 100 volunteers and workers, "hey folks, we are the pizza delivery boys."
