Democrats send Jesse Jackson, Alicia Keys to NC

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — It's been more than six weeks since President Barack Obama brought his presidential campaign to North Carolina, but his surrogates are lining up their visits.

Civil rights legend the Rev. Jesse Jackson visits university campuses in Durham and Chapel Hill on Friday

Grammy award-winning artist Alicia Keys on Friday promotes early voting efforts at rallies in Greensboro and Raleigh.

Vice President Joe Biden's wife and son are in western North Carolina on Sunday. Jill Biden and Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden campaign in Huntersville and Asheville.
