PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island's senior senator is attending the sole debate between Vice President Joe Biden and Mitt Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan.
The Obama campaign said Thursday that Sen. Jack Reed will be among a group of Democrats to attend the vice presidential debate in Kentucky on Thursday evening and offer their response to Ryan's performance.
Others scheduled to attend are Gov. Martin O'Malley of Maryland and Gov. Ted Strickland of Ohio.
The vice presidential debate comes just over a week after President Barack Obama's lackluster performance in the first of three debates against Romney.
