Rush Limbaugh vs. The Dark Knight

(CNN) - Holy talk radio, Batman! The Dark Knight is facing off against his most challenging foe yet - Rush Limbaugh?!

The radio host sounded off on his show this week about the new installment of the popular film series, "The Dark Knight Rises," slamming a villain in the film as a thinly veiled attack on President Obama's presumptive opponent.

Bane is one of the bad guys set to do battle with The Dark Knight.

Limbaugh says it's no coincidence that the evil villain in the film has the same name as Mitt Romney's former venture capital firm, albeit with a different spelling.

On his show this week, Limbaugh openly wondered if this was a deliberate attempt by the filmmakers to influence voters.

Batman's fans may disagree though. The character of Bane was introduced in the comics in 1993.
