Court may rule on health care next week

WASHINGTON (AP) — The wait is almost over for the Supreme Court's verdict on President Barack Obama's health care overhaul.

The court is heading into what is looking like its final week with cases on health care, Arizona's immigration law, lying about military medals, juvenile sentencing and real estate kickbacks still to be decided.

The justices will meet next on Monday, the last scheduled day the court is in session until October.

But that won't be the final day, if the court follows its usual practice. At the end of Monday's session, Marshal Pamela Talkin will announce the court's next meeting.

Then, on the next-to-last day, Chief Justice John Roberts will say that its next meeting will be the last.

Such word could come Monday or, more likely, later in the week.
