Barrett says he has raised $750,000

MADISON (AP) — Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett says he has raised $750,000 in just 25 days as he attempts to win the Democratic primary in the governor's recall election.

Barrett announced his fundraising total on Friday. All of the candidates in the six recall races are required to file how much they have spent and raised in the race so far by Monday.

The latest report covers the time period up to April 23 and is the last report before the May 8 primary. Barrett didn't get into the race until March 30.

Barrett is being challenged by former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, Secretary of State Doug La Follette and state Sen. Kathleen Vinehout.

Walker reported in January that he had already raised more than $12 million.
