Senate fundraising numbers coming in

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Candidates in Wisconsin's U.S. Senate race have until Sunday to file their first-quarter fundraising figures, but some have already released their numbers.

U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin said Wednesday she raised more than $2 million in the last three months. Her campaign says she has almost $2.8 million cash on hand.

Baldwin is the only Democrat running. The Republican candidates include former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann. His campaign says he raised $650,000 in the first quarter. A message asking how much cash Neumann has on hand was not immediately returned.

The campaigns for former Gov. Tommy Thompson and hedge-fund investor Eric Hovde say their numbers will be available in coming days. A message for the campaign of state Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald was not immediately returned.
